Meet the accelerators

Healthcare Innovation from Canada is powered by four Canadian health technology accelerators: CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CABHI, District 3, and MaRS Discovery District, with over 400+ health technology startups.

CTS is a renowned healthtech accelerator, funded in 2008. As a not-for-profit organization, it relies on an ecosystem of partners and a global network of entrepreneurs, scientists, investors, tech and life sciences executives to achieve its mission: "Catalyze the growth of emerging health tech companies by providing bespoke acceleration services at the critical steps of early-stage commercialization and financing for the medtech and digital health sectors".

The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), powered by Baycrest, drives the development and adoption of transformative aging and brain health solutions. Through its funding programs and tailored acceleration services, including access to diverse end user groups, CABHI advances innovations across Canada and the world.

District3 nurtures and develops multidisciplinary startup teams that harness emerging tech to create businesses with global impact. We look for the brightest of minds and we offer the most rigorous training. We bridge the knowledge, skills and resource gap between building a product and building a company.

MaRS is North America's largest urban innovation hub. A registered non-profit, MaRS supports high-growth startups and scale-ups tackling key issues in health, cleantech, fintech and other sectors. In addition, MaRS convenes all members of the tech ecosystem to drive breakthrough discoveries, grow the economy and make an impact by solving real problems for real people — in Canada and around the world.
